The Elizabeth Gown is a statement ball gown crafted from 100% silk Dupion, a naturally textured raw silk with a distinctive lustrous finish. Despite its dramatic volume, the layered construction creates a surprisingly lightweight feel. The structured bodice features built-in bust cups and boning for secure support and a defined fit. The hand-draped silk bodice main layer can be styled to subtly reveal the sweetheart neckline beneath or sit straighter across the bust for a more modern look. A soft V-shaped basque waist flows into a full gathered skirt, with lightweight tulle hidden beneath to create volume without excessive weight. Detachable off-the-shoulder silk sleeves offer two styling options, while a dramatic train and horsehair-trimmed hem give the skirt structure and movement.

Alteration & Suggestions

Shorten the hem of this gown by unpicking the horsehair trim, trimming to your desired length and re-hemming.
The bodice and waist can be adjusted at the sides seams and center back.
