Q: What inspired the latest Garden of Eden Bridal Collection?
A: The Garden of Eden collection is a tribute to love: created with love, for love. Each gown is designed to honor the bride, enveloping her in grace and beauty on her special day. Inspired by compassion, kindness, and patience, the collection reflects a sacred and peaceful world. More than just wedding garments, these pieces embody a journey of transformation and celebration.
Q: Can you take us behind the scenes... what does the journey of creating a new bridal collection look like?
A: Our design process is immersive and layered, blending creativity with practicality. It begins with a theme, brought to life through mood boards and carefully sourced, luxury fabrics. Designing and draping in 3D helps us refine each garment, ensuring it moves beautifully in real life. Midway through the process, we gather feedback from our sales teams to align creativity with our brides' needs. The balance between the creative process and real-world feedback results in a thoughtfully crafted and well-rounded collection.
Q: How would you describe the essence and aesthetic of this collection in three words?
A: Grace, Beauty, Love
Q: Did any past eras, trends, or personal experiences influence the designs?
A: Yes, I have always had a passion for vintage aesthetics. I love to draw inspiration from the past and evolve it into contemporary and relatable designs. Living in London and spending many a morning in the vintage markets there has inspired many of our designs - the Art Deco-inspired Dora Gown is very much a homage to a piece I found on one such trip to the market!
Q: What design trends have emerged from this collection (silhouettes, materials, embellishments)?
A: We return to the essence of what makes our designs so special with this collection! We celebrate craftsmanship and artistry through delicate details and impeccable construction. We are excited about the return of dramatic mermaid and ball gown silhouettes after a long period of focusing on more subtle design elements. These timeless design silhouettes bring a touch of romance and grandeur that we haven’t played with for some time, and we can’t wait for the brides to experience them!
