Founded in 2022 by a true lover of bridal fashion and the profound emotion woven into it, MaBelle has spent three years quietly becoming one of Switzerland's most personal and considered bridal experiences.
And now, they carry Catherine Deane.
Tell us the story behind your boutique - how did it start, how long have you been open, and what inspired you to start working in the bridal industry?
MaBelle Brautboutique was born from a deep passion for fashion, emotions, and life’s most special moments. I have always been fascinated by the world of bridal fashion, not only because of the dresses themselves, but because of the emotions and memories connected to them. A wedding dress is so much more than just a gown - it tells a story and becomes part of one of the most important days in a woman’s life. The idea for the boutique came from my desire to create a place where brides feel comfortable, understood, and truly special. It was important for me to build a warm and personal atmosphere, far away from pressure and stress. Every bride should have the opportunity to discover her own style and find a dress that genuinely reflects her personality.
The boutique has been open since January 2022, and since then, I have had the pleasure of accompanying many wonderful brides during such an emotional and unforgettable chapter of their lives. These personal connections and beautiful moments continue to inspire me every single day. What I love most about bridal fashion is the combination of creativity, individuality, and emotion. Every bride has her own personality and story. Being part of that journey is what makes my work so unique and fulfilling.
How do you curate the designers in your store - what makes you connect with the brands that you carry?
I carefully select the designers I work with based on their aesthetic, quality, and overall philosophy. It is very important that we offer collections that feel modern, unique, and special. I also pay close attention to where and how the dresses are produced, as high-quality craftsmanship and responsible production play a very important role in my selection process - every bride should not only look beautiful, but also feel comfortable and confident in her dress. At the same time, I place great value on having extraordinary bridal gowns in my collection. Dresses that stand out from more traditional designs and offer something truly special. I want my brides to discover exclusive, fashionable, and unforgettable pieces.
How would you describe the style and atmosphere of your boutique?
Our boutique is a modern and welcoming space, where every woman can enjoy a personal and unforgettable experience. It is especially important to us to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere where every bride feels comfortable, understood, and truly special from the very first moment. We work exclusively with private appointments, allowing each bride to receive our full attention and a highly personal consultation. This creates an intimate and calm environment where the bride can fully focus on herself and this very special moment. For us, it is not only about finding the perfect dress, but about creating a beautiful and emotional experience that every bride will remember in a meaningful and inspiring way.
What do you love most about working with brides?
What I love most about working with brides is the personal connection and the emotional bond that develops during this special time. Every bride brings her own story, personality, and energy, and that is what makes every appointment so unique. The most beautiful part is experiencing the genuine emotions: the laughter, sometimes happy tears, and that very special moment when a bride sees herself in the right dress and truly lights up. Being part of these emotional moments and helping create unforgettable memories is what makes my work so incredibly fulfilling.
What is one piece of advice you give your brides during their wedding dress shopping journey?
My advice to brides is to trust the process and stay open to different styles and designs while searching for their wedding dress. Very often, the dress they fall in love with is completely different from what they originally imagined, and that is what makes the experience so special and surprising. I also recommend bringing only the closest and most important people to the appointment. Too many opinions can quickly become overwhelming and confusing. In the end, what matters most is that the bride feels comfortable, confident, and truly happy in her dress.
What bridal trends or styles are inspiring you right now?
At the moment, I am inspired by many different trends, but especially by gowns that feel unique and extraordinary. I love bridal dresses that have personality and stand out from more traditional or expected looks. I am particularly drawn to modern silhouettes, unique details, and creative fabric combinations that give a dress its own distinctive character. For me, it is less about following every trend and more about discovering special designs that feel stylish, modern, and unforgettable.
Do you have a favourite Catherine Deane piece/s? Tell us what draws you to this garment/s.
I love the Blair Gown because it is so simple, yet incredibly beautiful at the same time. That timeless elegance is exactly what makes this dress so special to me. The feeling of the silk on the skin, the entire look, and the overall presence of the gown — I truly love everything about it. It is one of those dresses that feels effortlessly elegant while still making a strong impression. I would honestly get married in it myself immediately.
What is one thing you think brides absolutely must have on their wedding day (this could be anything from a make-up item, to a trinket, to a song - anything goes!)
It varies from bride to bride.
