Your love story: Tell us a bit about how you met and how this led to your engagement. Feel free to share your engagement story with us, too!
Alex and I met playing handball when we were teenagers. We’ve been together since 2013, and by the time we got married, we had shared almost twelve wonderful years together. We always knew that marriage was part of our future, but despite that, I was completely surprised when Alex proposed.
The proposal took place in Lofoten, Norway, one of our dream travel destinations. We were on a beautiful hike surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea when Alex got down on one knee. It was the perfect moment in the most incredible setting.

Which Catherine Deane gown/bridal separates, and accessories did you choose?
I chose the Alexis Trousers and the Peyton Blazer as my wedding suit.
Did you find your Catherine Deane outfit online, at our London Boutique, or at one of our stockists?
I found my wedding look at one of Catherine Deane’s stockists, Herzbraut Concept Boutique in Cologne, Germany.

What does it mean to you to be a Catherine Deane Bride / Why did you fall in love with the brand?
I actually work at Herzbraut Concept Boutique, where I’ve had the pleasure of helping many brides find their dream Catherine Deane gown or bridal separates. I always knew that I wanted to wear a suit for my civil wedding, and the Alexis Trousers won my heart from the very beginning with their beautiful fabric, wide-leg silhouette and practical pockets.
When the Peyton Blazer arrived in store, I immediately knew it was the perfect match. Even though I wasn’t engaged at the time, I already knew it would be my wedding look one day. I love how Catherine Deane allows brides to create something truly personal and unique. For me, being a Catherine Deane bride means putting together a bridal look that feels authentically you.
Tell us about your bridal accessories (think shoes, hair accessories, and your bridal fragrance) and what drew you to these.
Everything was built around my bridal suit. I chose bold statement earrings, a large white bridal bouquet and shoes with a bow detail. I wanted the overall look to feel modern, clean and confident. My favourite accessory was my veil, which paired perfectly with the suit and gave me that special bridal moment while still feeling true to my style.

Did you have a specific theme/color palette for your wedding day - if so, what drew you to this mood?
Our vision was modern, elegant and timeless. I wanted every detail to feel clean and intentional, allowing the bridal suit to take centre stage while creating an atmosphere that felt effortless and sophisticated.
How did you decide that your wedding venue was the one?
We wanted a venue that reflected our style as a couple - relaxed, elegant and personal. The space felt intimate while still being beautiful enough to make the day feel truly special, which was exactly what we were looking for.

After going through the wedding planning and gown shopping journey, what advice do you have for future brides?
Don’t be afraid to choose something that feels different from tradition if it feels right for you. Your wedding look should reflect who you are, not who you think you're expected to be. The most beautiful bridal style is one that makes you feel confident, comfortable and completely yourself.
What is the most memorable moment from your wedding day?
I loved every moment of getting ready with my maid of honour and my sister, thinking about the first look with my parents and my future husband. My parents’ reaction was incredibly sweet, and seeing Alex for the first time was everything I had hoped it would be. Those moments felt so emotional and special, and they are memories I will cherish forever.
